We require your RSVP by June 1st.
Ideally, it is recommended to fly into Dublin, Ireland Wednesday July 19, but certainly no later than Thursday July 20, 2023. This is mainly to account for jet lag, to ensure you have enough time to adjust and be ready for the wedding. It's best to stay in Dublin Thursday night, and travel to the event location in Clonegall, County Carlow on Friday.
It is recommended to fly into the Dublin Airport in Dublin, Ireland.
We have already made reservations on accommodations for you and will disperse these out individually. You do not need to worry about booking a hotel Friday and Saturday night.
We will provide a few shuttle rides to take guests to their accommodations in Clonegall, County Carlow on Friday. The times for these will be announced shortly. If you are able to take these rides, great! If not, it's completely fine to take a taxi or Uber. The drive to Clonegall is about 1.5 hours, and I myself took a taxi there on a previous trip.
While taxi and Uber are plentiful in Dublin, they are very few and far between in Clonegall. For this reason, we have arranged for shuttles to take you to and from your accommodations and the event venue on Friday and Saturday. Please note! Clonegall is very much in the country, which means restaurants and markets are also not plentiful. It is recommended to bring snacks and food before leaving for Clonegall.
The Welcome Party will take place at the event venue the day before the wedding Friday, July 21, 2023. Everyone is invited to attend the Welcome Party, but it is by no means a required event. This is an opportunity to say hello, see old friends and meet new friends, have some hors d'oeuvres and wine, and tour the inside of the amazing Huntington Castle. This is a low key event, and the dress code attire is cocktail or semi-formal. The event is mostly indoors, but guests are also welcome to explore the grounds. Shuttles will take you to and from the event and your accommodations.
The dress code attire is "Formal, Black Tie Optional". We encourage you to get in the spirit of dressing up, fit for an Irish castle wedding. It's going to be a festive and magical night, and we encourage you to look the part! The event is mostly outdoors, and the reception will be in an open marquee. The grounds are mostly grass and gravel so it is worth considering when selecting shoes. It is recommended to bring a cover up or jacket for the evening.
The wedding starts at 3pm sharp! Shuttles will take you from your accommodations to the event venue. It is recommended to arrive a half hour early.
There is a meat option, fish option, and vegan option for dinner. Please reach out to the Bride and Groom if you have any specific food requests.
