Marika and Shawn met each other through mutual friends in 2012. They thought nothing of it, until they crossed paths again at their mutual friend house party. They decided to take the time to actually have a conversation & get to know each other a bit better. They exchanged numbers to further get to know each other, where they hit it off. The sparks flew and they made it official 7months after. Here they are, Nine years later and getting married..

Something was brewing but the plans had to change, so the month after their 7th year anniversary, a new plan went into gear & Shawn asked Marika parents and her best friend for help in planning the new date. Marika's dad planned an intermit dinner for the couple and invited marika's best friend to surprise her. Everyone went to Perry's Steakhouse in Sugarland where the ambience was just right, lights was dimmed,candle lit table with rose petals. Everyone kept acting strange, then Shawn left the table pretending he needed a bathroom break. A few minutes later the waitress came and got Marika saying Shawn had an allergic reaction, Marika thought nothing of it and went to Shawn's aide only to find him down on one knee. Marika was in such shock and started crying, Shawn popped the question after a short speech and she said YES, they we were engaged on Feburary 22nd,2020.
