In celebration of our love…

Shawn and Mady met out of chance and at the perfect time. After Mady changed her relationship status, she was recommended Facebook’s dating service. Curious but not super serious, she continued. “I didn’t think that I would find anyone, let alone so soon.” Shawn was set up with the service by his friend Irene. After studying hard for so many years Shawn graduated and felt ready to find love. After just a few days on the app Shawn and Mady’s connection was apparent. Soon to follow were countless texts, calls, and Facetimes. That is, before they finally met in person on their first date. Shawn and Mady’s first date was at Maybury State Park. A romantic June picnic. If anyone truly knows Mady they know that she doesn’t like hugs. Shawn was the exception. A hug on first sight, within seconds of greeting. Together they walked the trails of Maybury and ate lunch at a picnic table high in an open field. The meal was simple. Peaunut butter and banana sandwiches followed by walnut brownies made by his mom. As simple as it may have been, this first encounter set the story in motion. Two dogs, four cats, two fishtanks, and a house later, Mady and Shawn are excited to grow their family and themselves throughout the years to come.
