Meet Clay, Originally from West Virginia . Clay & Shawn were basketball rivals in high school but ultimately chose to be roommates in college at university of Muskingum. Their relationship quickly grown from rivals to friends . Shawn stood next to clay on his wedding day years ago and now Clay is now ready to do the same and stand with his “dawg”.

Meet Stephie aka Steph Stephie is from Polk County Florida. Jamelia met Steph freshmen year at Florida A&M University. They were college roommates and became best friend/sister. Stephie and Jamelia have seen each other blossom throughout the years. Stephie is the salt to Jamelia’s pepper and a original Butt squad member lol.

Meet Ian, He is originally from Shawn’s hometown of Weirton, WV. Their friendship has been strong for over 20 years. Shawn is appreciative to Ian and his family for all the love and support they shown throughout the years. Shawn and Ian have a history of doing big jumps especially off his houses into pools. Now Ian will stand next to Shawn as he takes the biggest jump of his life in getting married.

Meet Gemima Gemima is from “Nola Baby”. Gemima is Jamelia’s sister-in-law but it feels as though they have known each other for years. In 2022 Jamelia and Gemima got extremely close while Jamelia started her Master's in social work due to Gemima having a psychology degree. Gemima was always there for Jamelia anytime she called. Jamelia could have not asked for a better Sister in law.

Meet Trey, Trey or Wiggs as everyone calls him is originally from Steubenville, Ohio . Shawn & Trey are long time friends and cousins who grew playing sports together and against each other. Shawn was historically always faster in track but it was Trey who beat him to the alter and got married first. Shawn stood beside Trey as a groomsmen and Trey will be returning the favor.

Meet Sharmaine aka Sharms Sharmaine is originally from New Jersey but she has Guyanese blood running through her veins lol. Sharmaine is the oldest cousin of 10 and we call her the glue that holds all of us together. After college, Jamelia and Sharmaine have grown to learn from one another and have developed a very close relationship. Sharmaine exemplifies what it means to be a strong black woman and has become a role model to Jamelia.

Meet Damion , Dame is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Dame and Shawn meet through Dwight who is his brother in law . As they connected, both learned that they share a love for sports , family and their beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Shawn also stood with Damion on his wedding day and now Dame will do the same.

Meet Nakayla aka Papi K Nakayla is from West Palm Beach Florida. Jamelia and Nakayla met in the 6th grade at Jeaga Middle School through mutual friends. They continued their friendship throughout their time at Florida A&M University and have made a lot of memories over the years. Nakayla has always been a good friend to Jamelia and they are always there for each other.

Meet Montez, Montez or Tez as he goes by resides from the DMV area. Shawn and Montez met at Bethany college and spent 3 consecutive years together in Florida at a summer camp working while in school. As they say “Bamp”was one of the best times in their lives and lead them to develop a bond like no other.

Meet Nadia aka MFN Nadz Nadia is from New Jersey and is Jamelia’s little cousin. Jamelia met Nadia when she was 8 years old. Nadia is such a beautiful loving soul and is the kindest person you will meet. Nadia is always willing to be a listening ear and is always supportive of Jamelia. Nadia is like a little sister to Jamelia and she is very proud of the woman that she has become.

Meet Parker, He is originally from Broward County, Florida. Parker and Shawn met through work when Shawn relocated to the St.Petersburg area in 2018. The two instantly hit it off by having mutual interests in music, sports , and similar outlooks on life. Shawn is thankful to have him as a friend and grateful to have him stand by his side.

Meet Raven Raven Is originally from Tampa. The two met in 2019 when Jamelia was looking for a nail tech. They developed a wonderful friendship that turned into a sisterhood. Semaj and Jamelia bonded over being Caribbean, a Sagittarius, and being from Palm beach. As their friendship continues, both remain close and know that they will always be there in any time of need. Semaj and Jameila will forever be sisters.
