We're So Excited To Celebrate With You!

Although filled with love, laughter and lots of happiness Shawn and Carissa's journey has been far from traditional. Despite knowing each other for several years, Shawn and Carissa decided to pursue a relationship with one another after spending the evening together at Carissa's cousins's 27th birthday party. The two spent the entire night laughing, joking and dancing. That night ignited the spark that would be the start of something beautiful--the start of their forever. From that moment on Carissa and Shawn were inseparable--it was so easy for them to fall in love with one another seeing that they had known each other for so many years. They also had so many similarities as their birthdays are only one day apart. In these short three years, Carissa and Shawn have traveled the world together--visiting places like Paris, Hawaii and Mexico (to name a few), sharing once in a lifetime moments that they will cherish with each other forever. On June 21st, 2019, Shawn asked Carissa to spend the rest of her life with him as his wife in front of all of their family and friends. Of course she said YES! On August 9, 2019, Carissa and Shawn welcomed into the world their beautiful daughter Yuri Ann Essex. Yuri has been a true symbol of their love for one another and a joy in the lives of not just Carissa and Shawn but the lives of all of their family and close friends. The beautiful couple is so excited to have you witness their union with a small, intimate minimony in Homer Glen, Illinois. They hope that you are ready for a night of fun!
