Where should I stay?

Answer

We encourage guests to stay at Appeldoorn's Sunset Bay Resort and enjoy the full wedding weekend experience with us. However, there are several additional lodging options nearby, including resorts, hotels, and the casino, for those who prefer alternative accommodations.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is planned to take place outdoors overlooking the lake, weather permitting. Any weather-related changes or updates will be posted here as the wedding date approaches.

When should I arrive?

Answer

If you're staying at Appeldoorn's, we recommend booking your stay for whatever dates work best for your travel plans and allowing plenty of time to check in and get settled before the ceremony. Guests are welcome to enjoy the resort and surrounding area before the ceremony. We simply ask that you do not arrive at the ceremony space before 3:30 PM. Arriving between 3:30 PM and 3:45 PM is ideal and will give you plenty of time to find your seat before the ceremony begins.

When should I leave?

The reception will conclude at 11:00 PM with the final song. Guests should plan to depart to the venue by 12:00am.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. Guests staying off-site will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the venue.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift. For those who wish to celebrate with a gift, we have chosen to keep our registry simple with a Newlywed Fund as we begin this next chapter together.

What should I wear?

Answer

We invite our guests to dress in semi-formal attire. Think dress shirts, slacks, dresses, jumpsuits, or similar wedding-appropriate attire. While we want everyone to be comfortable, we kindly ask that guests avoid jeans, t-shirts, and overly casual clothing. Please keep in mind that the ceremony is planned to take place outdoors on the lakeshore, and many resort paths, grassy areas, and beach-adjacent spaces may be uneven. We recommend choosing footwear that is comfortable for walking outdoors.

Can I bring a guest?

If you have a plus one, it will be shown on your invitation and QR RSVP. We are only able to accommodate the guests specifically listed on your invitation, and kindly ask that no additional guests attend.

Unless specifically included on your invitation, we kindly ask that guests arrange childcare and enjoy a relaxing evening celebrating with us.
