Monteagle Assembly
Tennis, Pickle Ball, Walking Trails, Shopping at "The Gallery" The Gallery has art by local artists as well as a wonderful collection of McCarty Pottery. Tennis Racquets and Balls, as well as Pickle Ball paddles and balls will be available at the Winfield House for your use. The Winfield House, located on the Assembly grounds, will be the Hospitality Cottage for the weekend. Feel free to stop by to sit on the porch, grab a snack or bottle of water, and restrooms available.

- Bridal Falls Trail (2.2 Mile out and back, moderate) - Green’s View, Shakerag Hollow, and Piney Point Loop (5.0 mile loop, moderate) - Sewanee Natural Bridge (.2 miles, easy) - Piney Point (2.0 miles out and back, easy) - Morgan’s steep to Sewanee Cross (2.4 mile segment along the Perimeter Trail, moderate) - Abbo’s, Alley (1.4 mile loop, easy) - Fiery Gizzard - Hike to Sycamore Falls - Foster Falls - short hike to waterfall
The Course at Sewanee
A beautiful golf course with amazing views. Call the pro shop to reserve your tee time. The Course at Sewanee backs up to the Sewanee Inn and Green's View Grill pro shop offers burgers, fries, and milkshakes!
The Cross
Breathtaking memorial overlooking the Tennessee valley. The Cross honors those who have died in wars since WWI in Franklin County. You can either drive right up to the memorial or take the "Morgan’s Steep to Sewanee Cross" hike.
Local Eateries
Mountain Goat Market - across from the Assembly gates, this eccentric sandwich shop is a local favorite! Shenanigans - A beloved pub by Sewanee students for decades, try the spicy turkey melt and fried pickles. Blue Chair Cafe and Tavern - Offers breakfast and lunch, as well as pub food for dinner. The Grandfather of the Bride claims they have the best omelette on the mountain! Stirling's Coffee House - on Sewanee campus, this coffee house is a 'go-to' for salads, sandwiches, and front porch conversations with friends. Sewanee Inn- 'Shakerag' offers wine, charcuterie boards, dinner, and more! We recommend sitting on the back patio around one of the fire pits. Reservations recommended. Highpoint-Located in the heart of the town of Monteagle in an old stone house, Highpoint serves great steak, seafood, and salads. Reservations recommended. La Bella Pearls-located between Monteagle and Sewanee. Reservations Recommended. Lunch - the newest lunch spot in downtown Sewanee.

The Lemon Fair - Gift shop located in Sewanee across from the Blue Chair. Sewanee Bookstore - a Barnes and Nobles bookstore with a great selection of books. Locals - an Art Gallery located in a Sewanee Mountain Outfitters - All things outdoors, hiking, and mountain appropriate. The Gallery - The Gallery is located in Monteagle Assembly. It carries art and gifts such as Mcarty Pottery.
