How it all started

St. Patrick's day 2017

It was the luck of the Irish that brought us together. I wasn't sure I wanted to go out to any parties that night but my best friend Mariah convinced me otherwise. I wanted to just go out to bars and have some drinks not go to anyone's house. Thank God we did. It was there at her boyfriends apartment in Manchester that I fist laid eyes on the love of my life. Granted I had plenty to drink that night and it took probably 10 times after him telling me his name to remember it, but once I did I couldn't stop talking about the man I met. We spent the whole night talking about everything under the sun and watching all kinds of movies. We never went to sleep that night just talked on and on about everything. I knew right from the start that I had found my other half. The one person I had spent my life looking for. It was love at first sight, I couldn't get him off my mind. And here we are years later with a beautiful baby boy and on our way to saying I do.

The proposal

Christmas Eve 2018

It was the morning of Christmas eve and of course all the excitement from all the shinny presents under the tree was starting to take a toll. So we decided that we would each open just 1 gift and have to wait for the rest until Christmas morning. I of course did not want him to open his big gift so I chose one of his smaller presents for him and he choose a very large box for me. It was addressed to my future wife on the top. Not knowing what was waiting for me I sent out a snapchat of it because the wording on the front just melted my heart. He had Jayce take a video saying mommy would love what was inside. Never did I expect what was coming. I had told him over the year a few things I wanted including a new bathrobe. When I opened the box there was a beautiful super soft light pink bathrobe that had been embroidered with SMM. My heart melted and I loved the fact that it had, what I hoped to be, my future initials on it. I quickly put it on and gave him a big hug. He started to tell me he was glad I like it and how much he loved me and couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with me. I could feel how fast his heart was racing and then he got down on one knee right there in the middle of our living room surrounded by our beautiful children and asked me to marry him. It will be a day I will never forget, a feeling of unconditional love and joy getting to know I would spend the rest of my days with the love of my life.
