Question

Getting There & Parking

Answer

Use this address in your GPS to go directly to the Rock Point Center and main event parking lot: 20 Rock Point Road, Burlington, VT (GPS should take you all the way there.) From downtown Burlington, head north on North Avenue for about 2 miles and turn left onto Institute Road. Continue past Burlington High School, then turn right at the Rock Point Center/School entrance onto Rock Point Road. Follow Rock Point Road all the way in. You’ll pass Rock Point School buildings and a few smaller parking lots along the way. Continue driving, go over the small bridge, and stay right around the bend. The Rock Point Center and the main parking lot are located at the very back of the property — that’s where you’ll want to park. If you think you’ve gone too far, you’re probably exactly where you need to be!

Question

What should I wear to the celebration?

Answer

Summer cocktail / semi-formal. Think flowy dresses, slacks, linen or button-down shirts, and light layers for cooler Vermont evenings. Comfortable shoes for grass and walking paths (or bare feet) are encouraged.

Question

Is the celebration outdoors? What if it rains?

Answer

Yes! The celebration is outdoors on the lawn/patio at Rock Point Center. Bug spray is encouraged. We’re planning to be outdoors rain or shine (a little mist just adds to the VT charm), and indoor space is available if needed. Dress comfortably for the weather!

Question

What will the evening celebration be like?

Answer

Our evening gathering will be relaxed and picnic-style, with BBQ, cake, drinks, and dancing on the lawn. There will be a mix of tables, benches, and lawn seating. The evening is casual and mingle-style, so feel free to settle in wherever you’re comfortable. It’s meant to feel easy, cozy, and community-centered — more backyard party than formal reception — so come ready to mingle, dance, and enjoy time together.

Question

Will there be food and drinks at the celebration?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be providing BBQ, cake, and a selection of beverages for everyone. You’re also warmly welcome (but never required) to bring a favorite drink or a small dish or dessert to share potluck-style if you’d like. We love the idea of everyone adding a little something to the table. If you do bring a dish, please label it clearly with ingredients to help guests with allergies or dietary needs.

Question

Can I bring a guest or plus one?

Answer

Probably! Our BBQ celebration is pretty relaxed and spacious. If you’d like to bring a partner or friend, just send us a quick message, and we’ll make a plan together.
