We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met August of 2017 at our first teaching jobs on Long Island. Naturally, we became fast friends being the only two teachers in the history department. The first day of meeting each other at orientation someone even asked if we had known each other already. Fast forward a few months, we realized we liked each other more than friends but Shaw was planning on moving to Georgia to pursue his PhD. Long story short we decided to date long distance and the rest was history! I was offered a teaching job and moved down to Georgia the next year to be with Shaw. We enjoyed living in a new city together and then quarantine hit! We passed the time taking regular hikes at the UGA Botanical Gardens. Hiking through these nature trails and enjoying the gardens became one of our favorite past times. Shaw says, "what better place to ask her to spend the rest of our lives together?" So on April 30, 2021, Shaw proposed at the Botanical Gardens with a photographer and champagne, it was perfect! We are so excited to spend our lives together and we can't wait for you to join us on our special day!
