Maid of Honor
Ebone and Shavon met back in their Louisiana Tech days, and everything was cool… until they became roommates and Shavon ate one too many Swiss Cake Rolls and ramen noodles. Let’s just say Ebone had to “politely” tear her a new “BLEEP” because once that scale started tipping, all hell broke loose. But hey every great friendship has an origin story, and theirs just happens to involve snack abuse and tough love. Almost 25 years later, Ebone is still Shavon’s ride or die for life. Shavon proudly blames all her bougie habits on Ebone, who dragged her out of her shell and introduced her to the finer things in life like food that doesn’t come in a wrapper or a foam cup. They’ve been through highs, lows, and everything in between, and still love each other to the moon and back. Their sisterhood is solid, hilarious, and built to last a lifetime.
Best Man
Boyz 2 Men isn’t just a phrase for these two. They have been brothers since they were nineteen. From grinding through college ball to stepping into fatherhood, they have watched each other grow into solid men. The “Twin Towers” were notorious for having a blast and making a handle or two disappear, one Twin pulling the ladies and the other Twin riding co-pilot as they navigated life together. No matter the challenge, deployment, relocation, or family crisis they have always held each other down. The Twins stay only one call away. Always have. Always will.
Bridesmaid
Kimberly and Shavon have been battle buddies and sisters since 2002. From laughter to tears, from wild adventures to their deployment in Afghanistan, they’ve lived a whole lifetime together. You always know when they’re in the same room because those Louisiana accents get real thick and if you hear them randomly say “Bobby Bugs,” just know that’s an inside joke that’s been running strong since 2003.
Groomsman
Brandon is the only groomsman who could clown Greg about his haircut without crossing the line. They met on the pee wee fields, and Brandon slid in with, “I cut hair, hit me up.” Greg was new to the area and relieved to find a real barber instead of risking the barber college. Every man knows the shop is a sanctuary, and the barber is the anchor. Brandon is the only Cowboys fan Greg respects, and he’s been a steady ear through everything Greg has faced. Their bond runs deeper than fades and lineups, because every man knows you never cheat on your barber.
Bridesmaid
Imerald is a true New York native straight from the Big Apple and Shavon’s youngest sister. Folks often call her Shavon’s “Mini-Me” or “Twin” because the resemblance is uncanny. Their bond is something special, a mix of sisterhood, friendship, and pure magic. They share the same artistic flair, big hearts, and lovable personality. And let’s be real they’re goofy as hell, on camera and off. Even growing up miles apart couldn’t dull their closeness. If anything, its made their bond even stronger.
Groomsman
Justin and Greg met at JRTC, and from the jump Greg knew Justin might be trouble from the way he eyeballed him. Once they finally talked, Greg quickly realized they were cut from the same cloth and suddenly JRTC didn’t feel so heavy. They clicked like they had known each other for years. No Soldier was safe when they rolled up, and no Officer bothered them. Justin carried a presence that told Greg he was solid-the kind of man you want in your circle. No matter how or when they met Justin is a brother for life.
