It’s happening!

We met through a mutual friend at a Super Bowl party back in 1997. We became friends often watching football together and attending other social gatherings. We remained friends and began exclusively dating in 2003 while living in California. Although football brought us together, we are often cheering for opposing teams except for our beloved Pitt Panthers!

We went on a weekend getaway for my 45th birthday. On our last day (my dad's birthday), we visited the mall to shop. As we were leaving I saw a Jared jewelry store. Unknowingly to me, he had said to himself, "if she says anything about going in that store or about a ring, I'm doing it". Well of course I said "ahhh, let's just go in and look". He said, "we're not looking, we're buying!" Once I finally picked my ring (very indecisive), he said "we gonna do this or what?". I replied, "let's do it". The store clerk, Shane said, "I have never seen a proposal so unplanned but it was real!"
