Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Shaunna Doyle and Danny Alvey
We’ve come across some great places to visit during our trips here. We don’t want to bombard you with information, but we’ve added some recommendations here to get you started with your own adventure. We highly recommend downloading the Bolt taxi app before you travel. It’s very easy to use in Malta and is usually the most convenient and reasonably priced way to get around. And everyone speaks English, and it's UK plugs so no adaptors needed!
Valletta

Valletta

Valletta, Malta

Malta’s walled capital city, full of history, sea views, cafés and cocktail bars. It's a must see! There is a ceremonial canon firing, every day at 12pm and 4pm if you're into that sort of thing!

Mdina

Mdina

Mdina, Malta

Our favourite place. A quiet, hilltop city with winding sandstone streets and beautiful views. It feels like stepping back in time. We recommend stopping at Fontanella for cake and a view.

City Sightseeing Malta

City Sightseeing Malta

Malta, Malta

We did this in 2017 and found it a really easy way to see a lot. The routes cover spots like Valletta, Mdina, Marsaxlokk, and more.

''The Strip''

''The Strip''

Paceville, St. Julian's, Malta

This is Malta's party central. Think flashing lights, smoke machines, cheap drinks and a few strip clubs thrown in for good measure. If that's your thing, you'll love it. If not..... consider yourself warned!

Gozo

Gozo

Gozo, Malta

We haven’t been yet, but Gozo is known for being quieter and greener. San Blas Bay keeps coming up as a hidden gem. Ferries leave from Ċirkewwa and go once full, so arrive at least 30 minutes early.
