Ponderosa State Park
This state park provides beautiful scenery for your daily hike, run, or morning drive. Be sure to check the view from the Narrows Overlook (seen above).
Golf
Take a quick trip to the driving range or spend an afternoon playing 18 at one of McCall's many golf courses. Available courses near town include McCall Golf Course, Jug Mountain Ranch, Osprey Meadow at Tamarack Resort and MeadowCreek Golf Resort.
Spa
Treat yourself to some relaxation at one of the many spas available in McCall, whether you visit the Cove at Shore Lodge, Alpenglow Spa, Vibrant Med Spa, or Simple Be Massage.
North Beach
When it comes to lake kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding, we love the North Fork of the Payette River for meandering. Flanked by wetlands, it's not uncommon to see lots of wildlife, both on land and underwater. We recommend grabbing rental equipment from any of the great McCall vendors (Backwoods Adventures, Gravity Sports, Home Town Sports, McCall Sports Exchange, CheapThrills).
Mile High Marina
Mile High Marina is a staple on Payette Lake, featuring recreational rentals, casual lunch, and evening live music.
Coffee & Breakfast
McCall has an abundance of places for your morning fix, including North Fork Coffee Roasters (Shaunicy's favorite), Mountain Java, and Flying M Coffee Lakeside. If you are looking for a full breakfast, head to Cafe 6three4, Fogglifter Cafe, or our personal favorite, the Old Town Cafe (don't let the fact that it is inside the Shell Gas Station fool you).
My Father's Place
If you're looking for great local burgers and shakes, look no further. Not to mention it is the prior place of employment of the groom! It has limited hours and can build a line, so best to avoid the rush by visiting for an early or late lunch.
Crusty's Pizza
Featuring sourdough crust, this is our favorite pizza place in town.
Lardo Grill & Saloon
Head to Lardo's for a hearty meal the loggers used to have in this historic building. While you are there, check out the decor and the pop tabs for some fun.
The Sushi Bar
This is a favorite of Ben and Shaunicy's, with all the staples you can expect from a great sushi joint and more. If you'd like to go, we recommend making a reservation. Be sure to ask for the locals menu and try the honey toast!
Rupert's Restaurant
Rupert's is a McCall staple for a wonderful meal garnished with local delicacies like local fish, elk and yak. We recommend making a reservation for this delectable dining.
Breweries & Bars
For a great selection of local beers, check out Broken Horn Brewing, Salmon River Brewery, or McCall Brewing Company. If you are looking for bars, Foresters provides live music and an Americana experience, while the Yacht Club is the place to go if you are looking to run the tables in your local dive bar.
Sweet Treats
If you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, McCall has you covered. For the best baked goods, check out Stacey Cakes and be sure to try her Ginger Snaps. For ice cream and other desserts, Squatch Sweets offers a big variety right on the lake.
