The Setting: Compass Coffee The Guy: Initially excited to discover that Reina knew a lot about specialty coffee. Became progressively less excited as she ordered a Nutella Latté. The Girl: Initially excited to discover Shaun was single! Became progressively less excited when he mentioned that they were "just friends."

The Setting: Montgomery Mall The Guy: Texted her the night before to see if she would say yes to a date. The Girl: The very next day said yes to a date.

The Setting: Northwest DC The Guy: After taking her around Georgetown and to dinner, he discovered they only had two options: 1) Go to his place where she would meet his mom or 2) Go to her place where her roommate was hosting a fifteen person women’s small group. The Girl: Decided that being introduced to Shaun’s mom was far less intimidating than introducing Shaun to her roommate’s small group. She still stands by that decision.

The Setting: The Baltimore Zoo The Guy: Got on one knee when Reina was distracted taking pictures of penguins. The Girl: Said "yes" as soon as she stopped taking pictures of penguins.
