Kristin and Shaun met at a friends Christmas party 7 years ago. Shaun walked in with his sister, Annette, and father, John. It was then Kristin learned that the Zielonkas will always be the life of the party. Before they parted ways, Shaun asked for Kristin's number. Not to shy away from a new adventure, she gave him her real number. The rest is history.

An eventful and patient (mostly) 6 1/2 years later, Shaun tells Kristin about a fun day planned involving ice skating and dinner. They were supposed to go ice skating on their first date, but never made it there. Kristin brought up ice skating before, but Shaun was holding that card for this moment. They took to the rink and made it about one lap before Shaun falls to the ice in a not so graceful but carefully planned out way. Kristin goes to help him up and low and behold, he is balancing on one knee just fine holding a ring box. Of course she said yes! Shaun set some pretty high standards for the teenage girls cooing in the background among the crowd.

Shaun and Kristin were surprised and excited to find out their family was about to grow by one. Arya Linda Zielonka made her grand entrance on June 24th 2019.
