We first met working together in high school at Papa Murphy's. Our friendship began while working together but was put on pause when we followed our own career paths after high school. We were reunited in August 2018 at Kristina and Tyler Desmarais' wedding (Shauna’s sister and brother-in-law). This reignited our old friendship and sparked a new beginning for us. In October 2018, Nolan invited Shauna to Cole and Ashley Plummer's wedding (Nolan’s brother and sister-in-law). What most people don’t know is we went on our first official date the night before. We spent the night filled with conversation and laughter and couldn’t wait for our next date the day after. We danced the night away and found our feelings turning into something more than friendship. Shortly after the wedding, Nolan traveled down to meet Shauna in Portland for a weekend filled with hiking, beer and whiskey tasting, and making homemade pizza. We officially started dating this weekend! We switched off traveling to each other in Portland, OR and Everett, WA and filled our weekends with hiking, concerts, cooking, and spending time with each others’ friends and family. Nolan also found a new love with Portland and moved down in September 2019. (Yay for no longer having to do distance!) After getting settled into our new apartment, we adopted our dog, Murphy on a trip to the beach. Murphy has filled our life with lots of energy and love and makes all of our adventures all the more exciting. Our love continues to grow through life changes and each new experience together. In September 2021, we both felt in need of a vacation and some quality time together and set off to San Diego, CA. On our trip, we explored Torrey Pines State Park where we got to hike around different trails and see lots of amazing views. We finished hiking on the beach where Nolan popped the big question! We could not be more excited for our life adventure together. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with everyone we love soon!
