We recommend staying in a Villa for groups and the Lodge for individuals. The Memorial Day Party will be down by the Villas. When you have chosen which one you’d like please call Lake Raystown Resort and book over the phone under the Smith/Moller wedding. If you need a handicap accessible room please let the resort know. There a limited number of wheelchair accessible rooms but the lodge has additional rooms on the ground floor with ramp access. If you find another location at the resort that better fits your party please let us know.
On Sunday, the Resort has fireworks for Memorial Day at sunset. We will be utilizing everyone who rents a villa to use this area to host a Memorial Day Party. The villas have walk up accessibility to the lake with a large cove we can use for water activities. We encourage everyone to bring lawn games, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, tubes, and any food/drinks you’d like. We will be using up any leftover alcohol from the wedding. Make sure you bring chairs and any tables you may like. Each villa comes with one wooden picnic table.
Apart from our direct cousins, we ask that children under the age of 16 stay at home. We are hoping for everyone to be able to fully enjoy themselves and relax with our open bar. If your children can be trusted alone at the Resort, for the duration of the wedding, then they are welcome to spend the weekend with us at the lake and enjoy the Memorial Day Party Festivities.
We will be providing a shuttle service on the Resort property to take people from their rental spots to the ceremony area and the reception. At this time we will not be providing shuttle service to and from the hotels off-site. And due to the location there is very limited ride share services and we do not recommend relying on that form of transportation.
Yes! If you have a boat already the Resort offers slip rentals or you can just launch it for a day. If you don’t already own a boat they have boat rentals as well. Just put your rental in early as they rent out quick for the holiday. The best view of the Memorial Day Fireworks is actually on the water.
