Lindsay and Bethany have been friends since Bethany's freshman year of college! They have been close ever since, going through the highs and lows, and living near and far from each other. They've shared lots of road trips, new restaurants and recipes, as well as taking up new hobbies together. Lindsay is also a gracious listener, especially happy to debrief and dissect every detail of Bethany and Daniel's first dates!

TC is Daniel's older brother and shares his love of all things Star Wars, Lego, and guitar. TC has been through it all with Daniel, maybe partially as a fact of being the older brother ;) TC has a big heart for those around him, and a deep desire to have quality relationships with everyone around him.

Bethany's roommate of three years, Mal is a fantastic friend! They met through church and have been friends since. As roommates, there were many pool days, books read, and binge show nights savored over the years. Mal is an ultimate hype girl, as their former apartment neighbors can attest, from the totally non-dramatic response to a Bones episode, a thrifting haul, or a crazy plot twist our book club book.

Josh and Daniel met at their church small group in 2018, and quickly became friends over the many lunch break gaming sessions and finding new recipes to cook together. Josh always intentionally makes sure everyone is seen and cared for, and Daniel is incredibly grateful for the way Josh has been in his life.

A friend from high school, Steph and Bethany have been friends for *mumbles double digit number* of years. Steph and Bethany shared interest in baking, movies, and various crafts. Now, we enjoy theme food and movie nights, paired with activities like flower arranging, cross stitching, and exploring new places and events in Des Moines!

Daniel Ecklor

Daniel(me) met Daniel(Eckules) in 2007 in middle school Lego League, and quickly became friends over Halo and Legos we were there for. Both of them worked together at a few restaurants back in high school/college and and spent (probably) way too much shifts slapping each other with rejected pancakes. Eckules is one of the most loyal people Daniel knows, and he can always be counted on to be there for him at a moment's notice.

Anna Ruble

Bridesmaid

A friend from high school, Anna and Bethany quickly bonded through show choir music and choreography. We kept in touch through college via snail mail, and now both live in Des Moines and love re-exploring our hometown through happy hours and local happenings. Anna and Bethany went to Iceland in the fall, and we had so much fun going on hikes, trying new foods, and learning about the history and culture of the country. With a heart for people and adventure, Anna is a fantastic friend!

Carl Phillips

Groomsman

Daniel met Carl while serving on worship team at church in 2020 - Carl was the sound guy for the day, and Daniel loves to constantly remind Carl that their first conversation was over something silly about graphics cards. Since then, both have a shared love of music, tech, games, and cars (but not modded Ford Fusions). Carl loves to think about things deeply and isn't afraid to take those discussions to the friends group, and has an amazing ear for listening along with a heart to care well, which Daniel has appreciated immensely.

Hannah Staker

Hannah has been one of the happiest and most optimistic people Bethany has known! Since their junior year of college, they were fast friends, after Hannah took Bethany on a false alarm ER visit. Hannah is a bright light in every room she enters, bringing so much joy and fun to the room. Hannah is a great listener and loves to jump on a spontaneous video call, talking about anything from great coffee she made or deep conversations about what's going on in life. Bethany is grateful for how Hannah loves and encourages those around her.

Madison Ehlers

Madison and Daniel met in college at Iowa State through Salt Company freshmen group worship team, with Madison leading. Like many of the other groomsmen, Madison has a big heart to care for those around him, and that showed immediately when he reached out to Daniel to practice for our first set together with the intention of also just getting to know the people on his team better. Since then they've served together countless times, and Daniel is by far Madison's kids' favorite unrelated Asian uncle no contest (and definitely no bias from me who's writing this).

Jess has always been the hostess with the mostest! She generously opens her home to so many, offering a welcoming place for all. Jess asks great questions and intentionally interacts with everyone around her. Becoming friends after Bethany moved back to Des Moines after college, Jess' love for quality time and fun vibes is unmatched!
