🗓 Arrival & Length of Stay

We will have villa accomodations from May 16-23rd We suggest arriving at least 2 days before the wedding to allow time to relax and adjust to the time difference. Please let the bride know ASAP what day you are planning on arriving and leaving Tuscany is wonderful to explore, and we encourage guests to make a longer trip of it if possible.

The most convenient airports for traveling to Cortona are: Florence Airport (FLR) – approx. 1.5–2 hours by car or 1 hr by train Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) – approx. 2.5–3 hours by car or 2 hr by train Both airports offer rental cars, train connections, and private transfer services.

🚆 Trains & Transportation

Train Travel from Rome (FCO Airport) For those flying into Rome, here is the easiest way to reach the wedding area. If you are arriving at a different airport and need help, please don’t hesitate to ask. From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) Take the Leonardo Express from FCO Airport to Roma Termini Approximately 32 minutes and about €14 Runs every 15 minutes From Roma Termini, take a train toward Florence or Foligno to reach Terontola–Cortona Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours Important: Please try to book the most direct route possible. Routes with multiple connections can take 3 to 4 hours. Helpful Tips: Use the Trenitalia app to plan and book tickets Book longer-distance trains in advance Local or regional tickets can usually be purchased at the station Direct trains will save you significant time compared to routes with transfers Once you have your train tickets: Please send your arrival and departure stations and times If you are not renting a car, we will help coordinate pickup from the local station Closest train station: Terontola–Cortona Trains run frequently from Florence and Rome Rental cars are highly recommended if you plan to explore nearby towns and vineyards.
