In the warm and vibrant summer of 2020, Shatasha and I first crossed paths to discuss an exciting business idea. After several engaging and insightful meetings, Shatasha presented Trina with a thoughtful gift that subtly hinted to a mutual attraction between the two of us. Although Shatasha had no intention of such a gesture, that gesture paved the way for Shatasha and I to embark on a series of repetitive yet delightful phone conversations, share numerous mutual dinners, and enjoy special outings that strengthened what the future would hold. My insatiable curiosity and unwavering persistence in getting to know Shatasha over the course of the following years gradually transformed into a deep and meaningful friendship. This friendship, nurtured with care and affection, eventually blossomed into a beautiful and profound bond . Fast forward to a year later, and the world was unexpectedly struck by the COVID-19 pandemic. During this challenging time, Shatasha found herself sitting on my front porch, while we would engage in heartfelt conversations. These interactions were at a distance from the doorway to the corner of the porch were not only a means to prevent contracting the virus but also a testament to Shatasha’s true dedication and devotion, regardless of the difficult circumstances. There is no better way to truly understand who you cannot live without than during a global pandemic. Consequently, it was not long after returning from quarantine that the universe, in its infinite wisdom, brought us back together in a way that felt both inevitable and magical. Over the past five years, our time together has been an extraordinary and unforgettable adventure, filled with an abundance of laughter, love, and cherished moments. We have traveled to various destinations whenever possible, faced the challenges that came along , while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Additionally, we have made significant efforts to reconcile with our extended family, strengthening our connections and fostering a sense of belonging. As we stand on the brink of this new chapter, we are eagerly anticipating the beginning of our lives as a united married couple, ready to embrace whatever the future holds with love, courage, and excitement. Shatasha as we step forward hand in hand, I’m committing to do so with full hearts (yours and mine) and a deep sense of gratitude for the love that brought us here. Through every season ahead, all the quiet moments and loud joys, the greatest challenges and triumphs—I choose you,again and again.
