It all started in high school, a strange boy with a staring problem who randomly came up to me to say hello. His name is Vincent Joefhiel Roxas. Vincent and I spent a lot of time together in school. We had the same classes as well as being on our highschool volleyball team together. We shared the same friend group all 4 years and we’ve grown to be a family. Vincent was a close friend of mine to go out on foodie runs and talk on the phone about anything. I never saw him as someone I would date. It wasn’t until senior year that my perspective changed and realized maybe it is possible. Years passed, and I can say we have been through a lot. A friend since freshman year, a boyfriend for 7 years, and a fiancé for 2 years. Vincent has become my partner for everything in life. Whether it’s his distinct laugh, his addiction for video games, or his desire to sleep forever, I’ve learned to love every part of him. We are so blessed to have family and friends who’ve watched and experienced our adventure unfold after all these years. The time has finally come and I can finally say I am marrying my best friend.
Sharon and I met during our first year in high school. We shared a few classes together during this time, but what really made us close friends was volleyball and the friend group that had formed from it. Through the course of high school, Sharon became one of my closest friends. We shared a relationship where we could talk about anything and share stories with each other. You could say we were best friends. It wasn’t until our senior year where my feelings for her grew more than just being best friends. One day after school, I confessed to her saying that “ I’m falling in love with my best friend.” It took sometime before she responded, but eventually she too admitted that she was falling for her best friend. From this point, I planned the best way to ask her to be my girlfriend. With the help of our friends and family, I had a plan. Dressed up as Mr. Fredrickson from Up with a poster of Our Adventure Book, I stood by her car after school and waited for her. From there the rest is history, our history. I proposed to her on June 17, 2020. Once again with the help of our friends and family, I was able to make that evening a magical experience for her. As time passes closer towards our wedding day, I can truly appreciate the time Sharon and I have shared together. Now I only hope that we can share our love with you all on our special day.
