Some love stories begin with a grand romantic gesture. Ours began with a game of international tag.

Andrew was born in Indonesia. Sharon was born in the US. In a perfectly uncoordinated series of moves, they spent years successfully avoiding each other.

When Andrew moved to the US, Sharon moved to Canada. The universe thought they were too close, so she left—to Singapore. Meanwhile, Andrew, obliviously stayed in Georgia.

In 2016, it almost happened. Sharon landed in Georgia after years abroad. Destiny had aligned their paths again! But, they had to keep the tradition alive, Andrew immediately boarded a flight to California.

The universe clearly enjoyed the chase. But when the time was finally right, they stopped running and let love win. They met—not at an airport or across continents, but at a Dave & Buster’s, thanks to some church friends.

Now, no more plane tickets or missed connections—just two people, finally in the same place, in love, and ready to start forever together.
