Sharon and Eitan first met at a Chabad Shabbat dinner during university. They felt an instant connection and spent the entire evening talking only to each other. Eitan thought Sharon was beautiful and brilliant. Sharon thought Eitan was cool and adventurous. A year later, and thanks in part to a yenta of a mutual friend, Sharon and Eitan went on their first date to the Toronto National Expo (the “Ex”). They spent the evening laughing and smiling as they ate deep fried Oreos and lost at carnival games. That night, the spark they first felt at Chabad the year before became literal fireworks over lake Ontario. Seven years and many planes, trains and bus rides later, Sharon and Eitan’s love has only grown. They have built a beautiful home together in New York City and can’t wait for this exciting new chapter in their life to begin!
Sharon and Eitan decided to check out an outdoor sculpture exhibit at the Bronx Botanical Garden. After a beautiful day enjoying the sun, greenery, and fresh air, the last garden they visited was the rose garden. Under the rose pergola at the center of the garden, Eitan turned to Sharon and asked, "are you ready?" The next thing Sharon knew, Eitan was on one knee. Sharon said "YES!" of course, and after many laughs, cries, kisses, and hugs, they spent the night back in Manhattan enjoying dinner on the Hudson River. It was a magical moment. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
