We met at church when Brian was my choir director. I did not like him at first, he was and still is a perfectionist when it comes to music and everything else. We only interacted during choir rehearsals back then and didn't think much of wanting to get to know him other than that. It wasnt until the passing of my mom when I got to know Brian. We talked on the phone everyday. He was very caring and he was just there. I thought to myself, I really like this guy. I remember my sister teaching me how to cook a meal for him and I drove 1 1/2 hrs to take him the dinner I made. We dated and eventually got married in 1999. In 2013, we divorced and for 2 years I didn't see or speak to Brian. Over those yrs, I allowed God to heal my heart. Destiny would cause us to get reconnected as friends and rebuilt our friendship to something very beautiful. God has truly blessed us to be best friends and soul mates. .
The first proposal was January 2020, Brian came over to talk ministry business. After we finished he said he needed to speak with me I had no idea what he needed to speak with me about so I said OK. We went into another room and he said I want my wife back and he asked me to marry him again (silence). I said, YES. The second proposal was June 16th, 2020, On my birthday!!! Brian gave me a surprise birthday party where he gave a beautiful declaration of love. The first time he did not get on one knee (lol). So he got on one knee and formally asked me to be His Wife and presented me with thee most big beautiful ring that Ive ever seen. Needless to say, “I said YES AGAIN!!!”
