They say love is for everyone and that the perfect person is hard to find. Nevertheless, Sharon and Barsheem are the perfect match! After several failed attempts at love, they both decided to try Facebook Dating in hopes of finding their best friend and future partner. The choices were few and it was beginning to look like a dead end. However one day, they both decided to try one last time before deleting the app and thankfully they came across each other’s profile. Sharon was drawn to Barsheem’s handsome smile and he to her gorgeous smile and welcoming eyes. Their photos drew them to each other and they dared to communicate. Sharon messaged him first. She commented on his smile and lo and behold, he answered. It was not until later in life that she found out it wasn’t him that replied but his closest friend at the time . His friend said,“something tells me this is the one for you right here”.So he encouraged Barsheem to message her back and that message led to countless others until they exchanged numbers. They went from Facebook Dating to long nights on the phone. There was not one day that went by that they did not speak. He was a great communicator. He messaged her every day. As each day went by, staying apart became more and more challenging. Then the day came for them to meet face-to-face. They decided on a place and instantly there was a connection. While sitting and eating Sharon noticed that he kept a smile on his face the whole time and so she said,“I love your smile. If this works , I will keep a smile on your face everyday of your life.” His eyes told her that he believed her and to this day, she never broke that promise. They spent all night together. Staying in the parking lot talking and laughing while enjoying each other’s company after the place had already closed. As time went on , they fell in love and after 4 years of a wonderful relationship Barsheem decided to pop the big question. Barsheem and Christina (Sharon’s daughter) started planning. On September 20,2025, Sharon’s birthday, they took her out to the place where her and Barsheem first met to celebrate or so she thought! Before she knew it, Barsheem was on the stage with a microphone ! Now everyone knows Barsheem DOES NOT do well speaking in front of a crowd, but he was willing to get past his nervousness to impress the one he loves. Little did she know , the whole staff was in on it. The musician handed Barsheem the microphone and Sharon’s heart started to race. She thought to herself, “is this man about to sing? Oh no!” 😄 Brave Barsheem professed his love and warmed the crowd with that bright smile she loves so much and everyone cheered as he called his Queen to the stage. The moment she stepped to the stage, Barsheem got silent as he stared at the woman he couldn’t wait to propose to but some how the words got stuck 😂 Christina yelled “get down Sir ! Get down!” And someone else in the crowd yelled “ we all gotta get down and get back up!” 😂 That made Barsheem laugh and he slowly got down on one knee and spoke the words that would change both their lives forever. Overwhelmed with joy, Sharon cried and said “YES!” From day one Sharon has always seen Barsheem as her king and her his queen. To this day , the family jokes with them about their lovey dovey ways and how they address each other😄 Sharon and Barsheem do everything together. Take walks, play spades (and never loses) 🤣. They take cruises every year which has been something Sharon loves and now it has rubbed off on Barsheem. They enjoy each other and everyone can see they not only love each other but they are the best of friends. This union was destined to happen from the beginning and Barsheem and Sharon are destined to love and are excited to share their special day with their family and friends on September 5!
