Many may not know, Sharon & Andrew met the modern way, on Bumble! They had their first date on a hot summer day in June of 2021 at a local restaurant in Fresno. They were seated outside due to those not so romantic COVID-19 precautions and that's when the real adventure began. Sharon, being a therapist, could sense his anxiety, so she suggested they order the Sangria. Andrew quickly ordered one and then another to calm his nerves. Knowing Andrew was a neurosurgery PA, Sharon had done her research. She watched a few YouTube videos of "a day on the life of a Neurosurgeon" and read briefly about various different brain and spine surgeries. He talked about his work and desire to help others with a passion that was admirable. She shared her reasoning for entering the mental health field and the fulfillment it brought her. He talked about his family, close friends, and his love for his nieces. Half way through the meal Sharon had to admit how terribly hot it was and that she feared she was suffering from a case of "swamp butt." He looked at her confused and asked, "swamp what?" She said, "yes, swamp butt, it's awful! Something you would never want to experience on your first date and here I am suffering from the worst case of it!" Needless to say she got him laughing and she was smitten with his intellect, love of the outdoors, and gorgeous smile. They laughed and talked about their shared dreams of having an adventurous life perfectly complemented by a few dogs and children. She shared stories of growing up in a big family with many siblings, aunts, uncles, and her grandparents who helped shaped her into the person she is today. He shared stories of adventures with his grandparents and how he now shares those same experiences with his nieces, Anna & Maddie. They ended the date with another laugh regarding swamp butt and a hug. As she watched him walk to his Subaru she thought "I am going to marry that man one day!” As he watched her walk off to her Audi he thought "Wow, I am sure she will not want to go on a second date. Swamp butt and she saw the old Subaru.” She texted him immediately after the date and told him how much she had enjoyed getting to know him and would love to see him again. He will tell you he was shocked as he felt the date was a disaster! They had coffee soon after and then shared a pizza and wine by a fire. A few years later and after countless adventures together across different states, countries, and up many mountains, here they are: two dog loving, ski bumming, aspiring Patagonia models excited to share this moment with all of you!
