Always Meant to be.

It may sound weird or a bit cliche, but from the very first moment we met our souls recognized each other. Maybe we were lovers in a different time, or in another universe, but there was a familiarity that we both had never felt before. In Yiddish there is a word for it. Bashert; which roughly means soulmate or destined, the exact feeling that we both had at that moment. A hospital love story far greater than Grey’s Anatomy which grew over countless hours on the phone realizing how aligned our lives were. We were the missing pieces to each other’s puzzle. Throughout the years despite ups and downs, remaining strong together although broken apart, the one thing that we held onto was the feeling of Bashert. No matter what we both knew, or how difficult the future might be, we belonged together. Then finally the path was clear and we took life for all it was worth. Working on our (same) careers, traveling all around the world together, lecturing side by side. Making memories every step of the way and living in each other’s glow, we thought life couldn’t get better than this. Then Grayson arrived, a surprise new life preceded by a near death experience for Sharon, that can only be credited to Alex’s crucial decision (clarity from eating a Tony Luke’s cheese steak). A brilliant and loving boy who makes everyone better for knowing his heart. And then just when you think you don’t have any more love to give, along came Karra. A beautiful smart and funny girl, who is tougher than she looks. Both have the best (and the worst) qualities of Alex and Sharon. But our family is not complete without their big brother Colin, who loves and is a hero to his siblings. He is always a part of our family and has formed a great bond with his “extra mom” sharon who loves him like her own children. Our story has not concluded and we have many more memories to make … We would be honored if you joined us in (FINALLY) celebrating our love and joy in this ceremony to make it official! This story has been far from perfect and at times frankly unbelievable, but we wouldn't change a thing. We love you and are thrilled you will be there!
