Whether you're coming to Livorno for the wedding first or after traveling, here are some airline insights: Direct Flights to Italy from JFK: Rome (FCO): Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci International Airport Milan (MXP): Malpensa International Airport From Rome or Milan, you can take a 3-hour high-speed train (ItaliaRail or Trenitalia) to Livorno. Closest Major Airport to Livorno: Florence (FLR): Requires a transfer flight. About 1-1/2 hours to Livorno. Closest Small Airport to Livorno: Pisa Airport Airlines to check: Delta, ITA Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa, United. Norse is a good alternative for direct flights to Rome at good prices. NOTE: FLY RYANAIR FOR INTER EUROPE TRAVEL. VERY INEXPENSIVE.
