Abraham: I first noticed Sharifa the moment she walked into the church. Sharifa: Abraham always smiled when he saw me. I thought he was attractive but I wasn't sure how old he was. One day at a church outing I overheard his sister mention how old he was. I thought to myself "wow he's actually not that younger than me". When I would see him I would always say to myself "if I had a younger sister I would set them up''. I would always admire how he carries himself and how into God he was. A: Around October one of the members of our church invited me to attend his Bible discipleship class. I had been to the class before and when I would go I'd be the only young person there. I was pleasantly surprised when I went that night and saw Sharifa. I always thought she was pretty but what really caught my eye was that she was a young woman chasing Christ. S: One day at Bible discipleship class I asked Abraham what he thought about Kanye's upcoming album "Jesus Is King". We had a really good conversation and over the next few months we would talk here and there. 04/01/2020 A: A member of our church sent out a group chat informing the young adults that our pastor was starting a Zoom Bible Study due to the pandemic. During the Zoom I noticed that Sharifa did not attend. The next day, which was April 1st, I went back to the group chat to find Sharifa's phone number to reach out to her. She doesn't believe me but I was genuinely concerned. S: I received a text message from Abraham which was weird. I was confused how he got my number but anyway. He sent me two text messages one being completely different from the other. You could tell he was super nervous. A: I thought the first text didn't go through so I sent another. S: I was super excited to hear from him. We had a great conversation talking about Christ and we fell in love and we literally haven't stopped speaking since then. In a time when we were suppose to be apart Christ brought us together!
