One of the most special places for us! The location of our first date and the location of our ultimate engagement, Camelback Mountain is one of Arizona's most famous hikes! Not for the faint of heart, but this 1.5 hour hike up will give you some of the most spectacular views of the Phoenix valley. We recommend getting there early in the morning to find parking and beat the rush.
There's plenty to do in the hotel itself! One of the more unique things (especially for Arizona) is to take a Gondola Ride through the lovely waterways of the resort by professional Gondoliers. These classically trained singers will provide an Italian serenade as you cruise through one of three romantic routes on the resort's seven acre lake. Hours: 6:00pm – 10:30pm, daily Prices: Adults (ages 13+): $10 per person, Children (ages 12 and under): $5 per person Private Ride: $60
As you probably know, Phoenix is one of the best destinations in the world for golfing. Gainey Ranch has one of the best courses in the Valley, but check out other courses here: https://www.visitphoenix.com/things-to-do/golf/
If you have a day to spare, we HIGHLY recommend you go to Sedona! Known for both it's beautiful red rocks and pine forests alike, Sedona is a true Arizona gem. Relax at one the many spas, explore the art galleries, or take a rugged jeep tour of the mountains! Perfect for a day trip.
Great Thai food in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale! After your meal, walk around the area to visit one of the many art galleries, or take stroll to Scottsdale Fashion Square to do some shopping.
Once voted "the best pizza in the world" by New York Times, this pizza joint is a great way to explore Phoenix downtown, and devour some delicious pie :)
A cozy, dimly lit, 1950's themed speakeasy in Scottsdale. Awesome hand-crafted cocktails and an extensive whiskey list.
Also one of our first date spots, and a long time favorite of the Gadagkar's! Great brews in a casual and friendly setting. Be sure to try their sampler!
