Reginald and I met while he was searching for his first Georgia Bachelor home. He had just moved from New Orleans and his mother had talked him into looking for homes with the company I worked for. I met him for the move in walk through and my coworker was trying to get us together then. He was telling Reginald that I was single and a young mother with two kids that had a good job. Reginald was interested and found me cute so he started making conversation. He asked me to help him decorate his home, I agreed of course, staying professional. Three months had passed and I received flowers at my office. The card read "I'm Reggie Colbert, I hope you remember me. I'm interested in you and still wanted your help decorating my house." It wasn't that I wasn't interested I just wasn't ready and was planning to ignore him, until my friend said I should at least call and thank him. I did wait a few days, called him and he said "What took you so long?" We made plans for me to help decorate his home. He picked me up at my home and we made our way to Ikea. After a week or so went by he called me and asked for a proper date. We went to Dave and Busters. It was cool, I'd never been before. We had dinner, drinks and some good laughs. I got busy at work and he kept calling me. I couldn't make time for him it wasn't that I wasn't interested in him but I was afraid of getting hurt again and didn't want to make the time. Finally, I gave in and stepped out of my shell and gave him a call back and that was the best decision I could have ever made for my kids and I. Christmas 2020 he got on one knee and proposed, of course I said Yes! In that moment. I was the happiest woman in the world. Then in March 2021, we got the news we were having a baby. Excitement came all over again. Our lives are truly complete. I'm marrying my forever and ever, the love of my life. I never knew love until I met Reginald!
