We Still Do...

We started out as close friends, but somehow he became my boyfriend (you know the song). We met in March of 2002 at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. David and I were both classmates in Mr. Kirshner Economic class. We came across a class project we had to complete. He was the new guy from Alabama in the class, so I asked him if he wanted to be my partner on the project. He said, "Ok"! Prom season was upon us, and I needed a date, so I asked David if he wanted to take me to the Prom. He kindly said, "Ok"! It was a date! As life continued, I attended South Carolina State University in the fall of 2002. David attended Vincennes University. At this point, we were simply long-distance friends. In the meantime, we stayed in touch with each other. Until... this cold winter night of December 2004, when he decided to propose to me when I was home for Christmas break. My reply was," Yes"! On December 1, 2006 we decided to tie the knot on a cold winter afternoon, in Orangeburg, South Carolina downtown at the courthouse. Today, we stand firm at 15 YEARS married and counting. All by the grace of God. On Friday, May 14, 2021, we look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you. We are truly excited and appreciate any sacrifice one has made to join us on this blessed occasion. On this day, we toast to a "Couple of Forever's!"
