Every Gator loves a good party. Both are alums of THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA; their paths had never crossed until the spring of 2014. Shanteria and Glen met at their mutual friend Shannon's law school graduation party in Washington, DC. While Glen's looks and charm had Shanteria smitten, she later learned that Glen had a girlfriend. They would cross paths from time to time throughout their time in the DMV, whether at Gator alumni events, brunches, DC happy hours, weekend kickbacks, or competitive game nights. **************************** Time passed, and in 2016, Shanteria and Shannon hosted a Friendsgiving in DC. Before Shanteria invited Glen, she asked Monique, another mutual friend, and determined he was no longer in a relationship. On Thanksgiving Day, the vibes were nice. Glen had brought his famous Jambalaya, and the atmosphere was full of laughter and gratitude. Throughout the evening, Glen noticed Shanteria checking in with her guests, ensuring everyone was comfortable and their stomachs full. Meanwhile, after hearing the news that Glen was single and getting a PEP talk from her girlfriends, Shanteria decided to shoot her shot before Glen left the event. Because Glen did not get Shanteria's subtle hints of affection and googly eyes, she had to resort to a full-court press as Glen attempted to leave the event, and who knew when their paths would cross again. Glen told Shanteria that he could find his way out of the apartment complex to leave, but Shanteria insisted that she escort him out as a great host does for their guest. Before Glen could walk off to his car, Shanteria nervously stopped him and said she enjoyed his company that evening and would love to hang out with him sometime soon. Glen was shocked and said, "Yes, he would also like to do that." Glen informed Shanteria that he had made it safely to his house and asked her immediately if she would like to go on a date the following evening. The next day, Shanteria beat Glen in a game of bowling; they had dinner and have been stuck at the hip since.
