Amidst the hustle and bustle of New York City life, we found each other... on Tinder :) Six miles apart, with as many millions of people separating us, we met for the first time at the Museum of the City of New York. After the museum closed, we spilled out into Central Park where we continued what ended up being a seven-hour long first date, talking nonstop as we made laps around the northern end of the park. We haven't stopped talking since! As our relationship grew, we also built a deep shared love of birds and the natural world. Wherever in the world we go, we take it as an opportunity to bring our binoculars and appreciate the unique local flora and fauna. It was thus a no-brainer for Shantanu to propose to Rachel in the very park where she put a pair of binoculars in his hand and introduced him to the beautiful array of birds right in their backyard. Disguised as another birding run, Shantanu guided Rachel to a set of coordinates tucked away behind a poster that led us on a mini-scavenger hunt to a dry creek bed in the park. Rachel, thinking the coordinates led to a stranger's geocache, was surprised to find a poem about our relationship that culminated in the Big Question!! We now invite you to celebrate our love and marriage with us during our favorite time of the year -- when the birds sing, the sun breathes new life into the land, and love blossoms.
