Deekshabhoomi

Deekshabhoomi is a Buddhist pilgrimage sight that was established by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Father of the Indian Constitution. Dr. Ambedkar graduated with his Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University in 1927. He went on to help dismantle the Indian caste system, as well as dismantle British Imperialism. In 1950 he converted to Buddhism because of its belief that all people are created people.

Ramtek Fort Temple

This site is believed to be where Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of the god Vishnu, took rest before going on to conquer modern day Sri Lanka.
