Ashley and Sean met back in 2015 via OKCupid. Both of us had decided "ok, one last try at this internet dating thing, and then I'm giving up." As it turned out, we're both really glad that we took that one last chance on each other! Since Sean's son Owen was only 10 when we met, we took it slow at first so we could make sure he was ok with his dad's new relationship. When Owen presented Ashley with a treasured Lego action figure, though, we knew he had accepted her into the pack, and it was smooth sailing from then on. Ashley moved to Sean's neighborhood in 2016, and then sold her house and moved in with Sean at the beginning of 2020. (Little did we know that we'd be getting adjusted to living together while in a pandemic-induced lockdown!) In July 2020, our puppy Francis arrived, making our family complete, and though neither of us had felt strongly about getting married prior to the pandemic, we felt a growing need to celebrate with our family and friends as we affirmed our relationship publicly. Not knowing that Sean was planning a December 2021 proposal, Ashley popped the question in our back yard in June of 2021 (and is very sorry that she spoiled his romantic plans!) and here we are today. We can't wait to see you all!
