It all started at 1150 Birchwood Meadows in the summer of 2014. The bride was invited to a house party that the groom was hosting. Shots were taken, numbers were exchanged, the bride ~might~ have friend zoned the groom, but eventually, they both realized they couldn't live without each other!

We took a drive out to the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina to "help" a friend expand his couples photography portfolio. It was a last-minute request but we were already heading that way to go thrift shopping so we said, "well, why not!". We had taken pictures at a few different spots throughout the parkway and were headed to our last spot for some final photos. We both walked out to the middle of the road at an entry to a tunnel and next thing you know, Trent was down on one knee! Turns out this was the plan all along and was absolutely not a last-minute request. Shock, excitement, and a few tears later and I was saying YES! We're so excited to share this next step in our lives with you! P.S. Shannon never got to go thrift shopping that day
