We're one of the lucky couples that online dating actually worked for! Our first date was at Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh. Tony ordered the steak for dinner, and Shannon ordered tomato soup; however, the conversation kept flowing and we realized how compatible we were in just about all other areas!
Tony: I spent 4 weeks looking at rings and planning when I would propose. I enlisted help from Shea (Shannon's cousin/best friend) and several others to find the perfect one, to be delivered shortly before we had a planned date at Phipp's Conservatory, where I planned it out. Shannon: I was so excited to go back to Phipp's on a date where we had gone our first Christmas season dating! It is actually where we got our first picture taken together. Tony: I planned a reservation at Lucca Ristorante, near Phipp's, and we had a nice glass of wine and dinner before heading there. I had the ring in the box in my pocket the whole time. When we got outside where the light displays are at, we wandered to a quiet spot away from everyone where I got down on one knee and proposed. She was so surprised and happy that we had to do a second walk through of the entire place for photos with the ring! Shannon: I was clueless. He planned it perfectly! I was completely shocked and felt like the luckiest girl in the world!
