We are so excited for our next chapter to begin as Husband and Wife on November 10th! We are so thankful that you all will be a part of our special day.
I first met Shannon at Tracy and Todd's engagement party. Throughout the night we were able to have a few conversations and I was beginning to be drawn to her energy and hilarious personality. Towards the end of the night, as we were sitting by the fire pit, I decided to take a chance and ask Shannon if she would like to have dinner sometime and go grab some sushi. Shannon instantly responded with "I don't like sushi", so that put a screeching halt to that conversation because I love sushi and figured this will not work. Fast forward several months, Shannon was in San Diego visiting Tracy and Todd and I happened to stop by for a visit. As the day went on Shannon continued to catch my eye and I knew I had to ask her out again, so I did and she said yes. On our first date I took Shannon to a restaurant in Encinitas called Union and we enjoyed a great evening of food, a walk along the beach during the sunset and continued to get to know each other. After that night our talks became more frequent and our relationship continued to grow and become stronger. I love Shannon's zest for life and willingness to build new memories. The moments we have shared in Hawaii, Alaska, Denver and weekends on a boat in Marina Del Ray have been some of the best times of my life and I look forward to many more memories and experiences together. With every step in our relationship I continue to love Shannon more and more everyday and cant wait for the day Shannon will make my dream come true by allowing me to be her husband.
Where do I start, while attending my sister, Tracy's and Todd's engagement party, I happen to meet one of Todd's groomsmen named Shawn. I had never met him before but what can I say that night he had me laughing so hard, that he left a lasting impression on me. However, that was not when our story began... Months later, after Tracy and Todd's wedding the stars aligned for Shawn and I. He had came around many times while I was spending the weekend at my sister's and he was always so funny, kind, and the life of the party. He finally asked me to dinner and I said yes. There was just something about him and I had to see where things would take us. He sure knew how to put a smile on my face during one of the hardest times in my life. He was one of the sweetest guys I have ever met and I am so glad I took that chance that night because my life has forever changed. On my 31st birthdays, Shawn surprised me with one of the Hornblower dinner cruises because he knew I loved being on the water. That night was the first night we said I love you! We moved in together to our place in Carlsbad, where the next step in our journey would begin. I was really excited to see where things would take us. Shortly after Shawn and I brought home our fur baby named Sailor and she has been an added joy in our lives. Our relationship continued to grown and we have had so many amazing times together, one that stands out is when we stayed on a boat for the weekend in Marina Del Rey. We had such an incredible weekend and that was when we both know that this was going to become our own happily ever after. That boat will always hold a special place in our hearts. Now, let's fast forward to my 34th birthday where our closest friends and some family came to celebrate my birthday but to my surprise, Shawn was going to ask me to marry him that day at Peltzer Winery. We have only continued to celebrate and in a few months on November 10th our real story will begin as husband and wife.
