Let’s Celebrate!

Shane and Shannon first crossed paths at a fraternity and sorority party. He convinced one of her best friends to join his fraternity. Try as she might to flirt, they went their separate ways. For three months Shannon harbored a grudge and avoided Shane at all costs. She finally agreed to accept an invitation to a Christmas formal with him, set up by that same friend—his now current fraternity brother. They officially started dating April 1st, 2016. But it seems the biggest April Fool’s Joke was on them. Little did they know they would soon bring their beloved Mini American Shepherd, Gordi into their lives. They would continue to spend their time with family when they could and growing up together.

Shane gifted Shannon tickets to Alaska for their 7th dating anniversary—A trip they had been saying they wanted to take for years. One day on a hike at Fort Abercrombie, looking over the cliffs on a beautiful, foggy, Alaskan day, Shane got down on one knee. He dutifully had a camera rolling, but sadly all you can hear is Shannon’s happy sobs. Needless to say it was a very easy yes. And because of that yes, we ask you to come celebrate this next chapter in our lives with us. See you in soon in Illinois!
