Our story all began on a Sunday at the end of Summer. As some of you may know and others may not we met at a place called the Boardy Barn. This place is only open in the summertime and only on Sundays. Amongst hundreds of people dancing and drinking, Jahvon approached me with a huge smile and tried to pull off a cheesy punch line. I smiled and looked past it as he began striking up a conversation. We spoke for some time about school, our careers and goals etc. No sooner, someone who knew Jahvon pulled him away. We both went our separate ways and I remember waving him goodbye. Hours passed as I was dancing underneath the iconic Boardy Barn tent when I heard someone yell my name. I turned to find Jahvon with his contagious smile. He apologized for his rude friend and asked to pick up where we left off on our conversation. He was adamant about getting my number and said if he could find me again amid all of these people I should give it to him. I told him I was going back to school in three weeks but that didn't stop him. We exchanged numbers and he took me on a date every week until I went back to school. We realized how much we had in common, even down to our faith. Our conversations never ceased and our long distance relationship began. Four plus years later we have gone through life's happiest moments and some of the saddest but we have never left each others side.
