Question

Do I need more than 6 months on my passport to travel to Mexico?

Answer

Travelers entering by air need only have a passport that is currently valid. However, if your passport expires soon, we recommend renewing 4-6 months prior to your travel date due to the backlog in current processing.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children at our events. However, if you’d like to bring your children to Cabo, Chileno Bay Resort offers babysitting service and activities for children. Babysitting service is also available through https://www.cabobabysitters.com.

Question

Any alternative room types and dates available for the room block?

Answer

For additional room types and villas, the hotel extends a 15% discount on the website rates. For an extended stay, the group rate will be honored up to 3 days before July 4 and up to 3 days after July 7. For guests that can only stay for 2 nights, the hotel extends a 15% discount on the website rates.

Question

When will the room block rate expire?

Answer

We have a limited number of rooms available under the room block rate which expires on May 5, 2024. Additionally, Chileno Bay Resort is a boutique hotel, and rooms sell out quickly during the long weekend. We recommend you booking the rooms as soon as you figure out your travel schedules.

Question

It's my first time going to Cabo, anything I need to know?

Answer

Cabo is located at the southern tip of Baja, California, juts out with the Pacific Ocean at one side and the Sea of Cortez at the other. The waters can be dangerous due to the rough waters, out-of-control waves, strong riptides, and seafloor. We recommend you staying on the Sea of Cortez side for less wind and calmer beaches. Search for swimmable beaches if you'd like to snorkel. Our favorite beaches are Chileno Bay beach and Santa Maria beach.

Question

Is there a dress code for the sunset cruise?

Answer

Sunset cruise attire is beach casual. For inspiration, think Tulum or Mykonos beach club vibes. Breathable and lightweight materials are ideal, bright colors and patterns and fun accessories are welcome! Bring your hat and sunglasses! For women, avoid floor-long dresses and high heels for your safety. For those who want to go into the Jacuzzi, please bring your swimsuits and towels. There’s a change room on the boat.

Question

How do I get to the sunset cruise if I’m arranging my own transportation?

Answer

If you are getting dropped off for the sunset cruise, the easiest and most direct way is to navigate to restaurant Agua Salada (in Plaza Marina), located at Blvd. Paseo de la Marina 1, Centro, Marina. Walk over to our meeting spot at Dock N. See our Gallery for the visual map direction. We recommend getting dropped off, but if you have to drive, navigate to restaurant Agua Salada (in Plaza Marina), located at Blvd. Paseo de la Marina 1, Centro, Marina, you may park in the parking lot of Plaza Marina. The parking lot is cash only (USD and pesos accepted). Walk towards the restaurant and then over to our meeting spot at Dock N. See our Gallery for the visual map direction.

Question

What happens if I get seasick on the boat?

Answer

Water is generally calmer during summer months in Cabo. Our sunset cruise is on a large boat, so hopefully the boat will rock less. However, if you are prone to sea sickness, we recommend you taking some preventative motion sickness medications such as Dramamine or Bonine prior to the cruise (be sure to speak with your doctor if you’ve never taken these before). Staying hydrated and eating some light snacks will also help. There’re three bathrooms on the boat and a bedroom to rest if you end up feeling sick during the event.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Wedding ceremony attire is semi-formal/cocktail attire. We expect high temperatures ranging from the high 70s to low 90s. The ceremony will be held at Chileno Bay Resort's beach area, La Playita. Please wear something that’s flowy and breathable, and that you look absolutely gorgeous in!

Question

I’m staying at another hotel. Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

If you are staying at another hotel, you may arrive up to one hour prior to the ceremony. We recommend taking an Uber or taxi, requested by your hotel's concierge. If you have to drive, complimentary on-site valet parking is available, however, we urge you to take a taxi.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

For those wanting to celebrate Independence Day, Chileno Bay Resort hosts a beach BBQ and firework show on the 4th. Please contact the concierge team for reservations. cbr.concierge@aubergeresorts.com
