Answer

Since the Cedar Ridge Distillery is a working restaurant, guests are not recommended to arrive until between 5p and 5:15p, which gives the restaurant the time it needs to clean up and usher people out.

Cocktail-style attire with bright summer colors is the requested dress code for the ceremony. Have fun with it! Note: The wedding party will be wearing greens!

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors in grass (so mind those heels!). The cocktail hour and reception will primarily take place indoors, with floating space outdoors as well. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place indoors, as well.

While we are not meteorologists, the weather in June in Cedar Rapids is typically in the 70s or 80s. It might get a little wet, so just keep that in mind!

The ceremony will go from 5:30p to 6p, and the reception will go from 6p to 11p. More details will be provided day-of.

There is a page on this site titled "RSVP" where you can type your name in and then go through the questions to ensure we have the best information about you!

The RSVP deadline is April 22nd, 2025! If you have not RSVPed by this date, we will miss you! However, since our venue is run as a pretty tight ship, we request that no one show up unannounced!

Answer

Yes! We have provided a few hotels on our "Travel" page which are pretty close and relatively well priced, along with a hotel block near the airport.

If you stay at the hotel block we have booked, there will be a shuttle to and from the venue. Stay tuned for the departure times. If you drive there and decide you don't feel comfortable making it home, Cedar Ridge allows vehicles to stay overnight, as long as they are retrieved prior to 9a.

To create a romantic and intimate atmosphere, we’ve chosen to celebrate our wedding in an adults-only setting. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Unfortunately, we're on a tight budget and have limited space, so we simply can’t afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding!

We'll be serving light buffet-style hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet-style dinner and dessert.

There will be a place within the RSVP for each person to include and allergies or dietary restrictions.

Unfortunately, we are not made of money, (I know, I know), so there will not be an open bar. Instead, there will be a cash bar featuring signature drinks, as well as some old favorites.

We are requesting an unplugged ceremony, meaning that we'd love it if you kept your phone in your bag or pocket on silent for the duration of the event. During reception though, bring them out and do whatever you'd like!

There's a farmers market on June 21st (the day before!) that is super fun to walk around and explore downtown!

For sure! We will have a card/gift table available at the reception for those who prefer to deliver in person!

That's why having your email is so important to us! We will send out mass emails to everyone if anything super sticky comes up. If you don't have one, that's okay too! You won't be left in the dark.
