Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We want you to let your hair down and have a great time! The venue is in a remote location with limited reception or access to ubers. A shuttle service will be running before and after the ceremony/reception. If you do opt to drive, parking is limited so please arrive early and refer to the directions in the FAQ. *The path to the parking lot is a gravel road and some low-rise cars may have difficulty driving. Thank you for going on this adventure with us!

What is the shuttle schedule?

Answer

A shuttle service will be running from the Best Western Plus in Truckee. Shuttles to the Wedding: 2:45 PM- Shuttles Arrive at the Best Western Plus in Truckee 3:00 PM- Shuttles leave promptly for Dancing Pines (there will only be one shuttle time so please arrive early to board!) Shuttles Leaving the Wedding: 8:15 PM Shuttles Begin Arriving at Dancing Pines for Early Departure (drop off: Best Western Truckee) 10:00 PM Last Shuttle Service from Dancing Pines

How do I get to Dancing Pines? (If coming from Truckee)

Answer

IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE CELL PHONE GOOGLE MAPS OR A GPS APP TO FIND THE PROPERTY. If you decide to drive, please follow these directions carefully. Cell reception will be spotty 10 miles out from the venue so plan ahead. If getting directions online, use this link: https://goo.gl/maps/UhtnNMtqxMNPStmR6 From TRUCKEE: > Follow directions from your Truckee location to CA-89/CA-267 toward Sierraville/Lake Tahoe. > Go 13-14 miles north and turn left onto Fibreboard Road (it will be marked with a sign the day of the wedding). Follow the sign for “Jackson Meadows, Weber Lake, Independence Lake.” > Go 2 miles and the driveway will be on your left. A black metal gate with a wedding sign will be out!

How do I get to Dancing Pines? (If coming from Reno)

Answer

From RENO > Take exit 188 off I-80 west toward CA-89/CA-267 toward Sierraville/Lake Tahoe. > At the end of the ramp turn right onto 89N. You will go straight through 2 roundabouts. > At the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto CA-89. > At the second roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on CA-89 > Go 13-14 miles north and turn left onto Fibreboard Road. Follow the sign for “Jackson Meadows, Weber Lake, Independence Lake.” > Go 2 miles and the driveway will be on your left. Black metal gate with “private drive” sign.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We absolutely LOVE your kids but it is important to us that our wedding be adults only. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

A note on smoking....but not vaping!

Answer

Dancing Pines has a strict no smoking policy. The policy is for the safety of our guests and the Dancing Pines estate. The venue is surrounded by trees and is highly vulnerable to forest fires. The owners will be on-site fining anyone found smoking. Guests are still welcome to bring an e-cigarette or vape pen. We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding!

A note on footwear

Answer

Please note that our venue is grass and gravel. We suggest wearing flats, block heels, wedges, or sandals.
