High's in the 80s and lows in the 60s. Our wedding will be mostly outdoor but will have a covered patio and indoor seating available. Dress is cocktail attire, elegant and comfortable, and will be the hottest (typically high 80s) during the ceremony at 5pm and will cool off by sunset to mid 60s. There's always a chance of rain in the spring in which case we will have a tent to cover the courtyard.
We find Uber is the easiest way to get around downtown and surrounding areas due to limited parking. However, the Allan House does have 50 parking spots available to guests. Please note, we will not be offering transportation to and from the wedding. Our suggestion would be to use Uber. If you want to extend your visit renting a car would be helpful and there are rental cars available at Austin-Bergstrom, just exit the terminal and walk across the street, up to level 2, and follow signs for the rental car area.
For air travel we think the sweet spot would be three months out. For hotels / Airbnbs we suggest booking as soon as possible. We've reserved room blocks for those that want to stay in a hotel but we find Airbnbs to be the best option!
Yes, when you RSVP for the reception there is a place to note food allergies or request a vegetarian entree (Trumpet Mushroom Scallops)
