Our Love Story
While we were both living in perhaps one of the most romantic countries in the world, our relationship actually began onboard a US Navy ship in Rota, Spain, where we were stationed together. We became close friends through long hours at work and visits to foreign ports. Our relationship soon became serious during the COVID-19 pandemic when we had the fortunate opportunity of being each other's quarantine buddy. The beautiful backdrop of Spain witnessed our love story unfold as we explored the rolling hills and sandy beaches the country had to offer. Our adventures continued when we both moved back to the United States knowing we didn't want to spend much time apart. Finding every opportunity to see each other from opposite coasts, Michael proposed to Shannon in January, 2022 at the Middleton Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina. And here we are now, looking forward to celebrating with you in August and seeing where the future will take us!
