Shannon is a total book dragon and loves to collect books to enjoy like wine "when the time is right;" or to snuggle up on the couch to binge movies together. She also loves adventures, like hiking with Mako or traveling the world, and is never too shy to close out a dance floor. Shannon is very passionate about fitness and loves to go to the gym with Max. She also likes to go to Krav Maga and remind Max that she is a ferocious little fighter with a mean right hook. Shannon is an amazing woman; always striving to better herself and those around her. Max is so proud of her, and knows how proud her parents would be as well to see the woman she has become. Max is ecstatic and beyond honored to have her by his side forever and always… and then some.

Shannon wants you to know that Max is hilarious, patient, and incredibly down to earth. Max is a total homebody and loves to stay at home and watch nerdy movies like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. He also loves to work out by throwing some weights around at the gym or kicking butt at Krav Maga. Max is always ready to travel to new places, try new things, and is no stranger to spontaneous dance sessions in the kitchen. Max is an incredible friend, often dropping anything to help those who need it. He's sarcastic and sassy but all in good fun because he is deeply and unendingly giving and kind. While he likes to hang back and stay in his shell, Shannon's favorite moments are when he opens up and lets himself shine. Shannon is honored and excited to have her gentle giant by her side today, tomorrow, and everyday after!

Shannon and Analiese (Ani) have been friends for SEVENTEEN YEARS BABY! They met as young girls by chance in the lunch room of their middle school (even though they were unwittingly neighbors for years) and bonded over a peanut butter and banana sandwich because it was Elvis's favorite. Ani is funny, compassionate, and brilliant: often chalk full of facts to share at just the right time. Shannon and Ani are sisters by choice, often closing out restaurants with their laughter, and talking for hours, sometimes without stopping for breath. Ani has been right there by Shannon's side through everything and probably knows her better than she knows herself. They've grown together and loved each other from their awkward Silly-Band and Ugg boot phase to now. Max has been adopted by Ani as a brother and has a long future of happily being Shannon and Ani's third wheel.
Adrian LingoAdrian Lingo
Best Man
Max wants you to know that Adrian is more than his best friend; he is and will always be his brother (ride or die, bad boys for life). Adrian is strong, determined, and the hardest worker Max has ever met. Max and Adrian have been friends since high school, gotten into and out of a lot of trouble, and came close to death a few times ("you had to be there"). After immigrating here from Poland as a young boy, Max took it upon himself to help Adrian learn English, which obviously means Adrian’s English has only improved "solo un poco!" Adrian has known Shannon and Max's relationship from the beginning. From late nights out dancing at Colosseum together, thinking still cars are moving, to laughing so hard they fall off benches in pizzerias. Shannon knows Adrian to be a good friend, a goofy jokester, and a determined and hardworking person. Adrian has always thought of Shannon as a sister and part of the crazy gang and now they all get to be "bad boys for life!"
Autumn SimonAutumn Simon
Bridesmaid
Autumn is Max's little sister and one of Shannon's favorite people. Max and Autumn share a beautiful sibling relationship full of sarcastic comments and wrestling sessions in the kitchen; normally prompted by Autumn attempting to hug Max (apparently its a "sibling thing"). Max is 12 years older so he's been there from diaperhood, through her know-it-all phase (which we're still waiting for her to grown out of), until now and he still wouldn’t change it for the world. Max has and will always be there for Autumn to make sure she is safe, loved, and stays outta trouble. Autumn and Shannon connected immediately, as Shannon always wanted a little sister and Autumn was the only daughter in a family surrounded by brothers. They met when Autumn was only nine years old, and Shannon and Autumn have been thick as thieves ever since. Often sharing their shopping hauls, sneaking little chocolates to one another before dinner, and spending hours laughing until it hurts. Autumn is a beautiful, bold, and bright young woman. Max and Shannon are both so happy to have her in their lives and are thrilled to share this day with her as their bridesmaid.

Alex is Max's little brother and Shannon's Allycat. Max and Alex love playing video games together, whether it is Wii or Call of Duty, and screaming at the screen while Shannon laughs at them. Sometimes she even joins in to show them both who the Wii fencing master is! Max and Shannon are very proud of Alex, especially with how hard working he is in school as a straight A student, how devoted he is to soccer, and how creative he is with his video games where he constructs and operates entire worlds from his imagination. Max and Shannon look forward to the day when Alex becomes some big shot engineer and retires them so they can relax and eat bon-bons from his vacation villa. Shannon and Max love getting to spend time with Alex having killer air-soft fights or playing games during family nights (except Risk, please please don't make us play Risk!). Alex is known for his "one-liners" and always keeps all of us laughing. He's bright, funny as sin, and incredibly down to earth. Without him, the family wouldn't be complete. Max and Shannon are so excited to have him be their groomsman and are looking forward to his eclectic commentary.

Shannon and Ashley met on the very first day of senior year at Stonehill College. Which is a good thing, because had they met any sooner, Stonehill would've been in a heap of trouble! Shannon and Ashley bonded immediately, talking and laughing about anything and everything, and they've yet to stop six years later! Max and Ashley connected instantly as friends and over their similar humor, passion for policing and what they've witnessed while in uniform, and most importantly their love for Shannon. Shannon and Ashley enjoy cooking meals together, laughing just because, and having dance battles when least appropriate. Ashley is bold, beautiful inside and out, and funny as can be; making her the perfect pairing for Shannon's contagious laughter; and Max happily is along for the crazy ride that is their friendship.

Max and Tony became fast friends after after Ashley and Shannon's plans fell into place. They secretly set out to make them best buds and little did they know that it would work out too well! Before the girls knew it, Tony and Max were snuggled up and snoring or cracking jokes in the background. Max has come to think of Tony as a close friend and looks forward to more adventures, partying, and stealing balloon monkeys in the future. Tony was an incredible friend to Max while he was in the MSP academy; checking in and rooting for him each week. Shannon liked Tony from the get go and instantly saw him as part of their new crew. Together, the four of them close out restaurants chatting or wreak havoc on the dance floor. Tony is funny, kind, and down to earth; making him an amazing addition to their chosen family (and a true success story for Shannon and Ashley's scheming).

Mother of the Bride
Holly was a mom, sister, aunt, and friend who was known for her contagious laugh and ferocious heart. She lived her life to the fullest and was known for always doing what she wanted, regardless of the barriers she faced. She had a prominent career as a woman in tech, paving the way for young women to follow; and always believed in reaching back to help others. Her optimism was unmatched and she was known for accompanying any bit of negativity with "...but the good news is...!" Her warm heart and bold brilliance are severely missed. Shannon is so happy that her Mama and Max (or as Holly called him: "Maxy") enjoyed each other's company; often sharing goofy stories, long laughs, and their endless love for Shannon. Max promised Holly he would continue to love and protect Shannon in her absence and he continues to uphold that promise with every passing day. In Holly's memory, we hope you will take a moment to remember the small things in life, to enjoy it to the fullest, and to remember "the good news is...!"

Mother of the Groom
Robin is a beautiful soul and everyone she meets seems to fall in love with her. She loves and gives wholeheartedly to everyone: from a total stranger to those she loves. Robin a caring and supportive mom. Being a single parent and trying to balance life, work, and a child (let alone 3) is no easy task yet Robin managed it all with grace and a little help from the whole Pergola family. Max is proud of her accomplishments, her strength, and her sassy attitude that have helped to keep him in check all these years. When getting ready to meet Max's family for the first time, Shannon knew how important family was to him and was so nervous to make a good impression. Minutes into the conversation Robin had already made her feel welcomed and apart of their family. Robin has since adopted Shannon as a second daughter and welcomed her with open arms; always being thoughtful enough to include her in all things "Simon". Shannon is grateful to have such a kind Mother-in-Law and is so excited to "officially" become family. They are both honored to have Robin (aka Bin) with them on this special day and look forward to many more family dinners and game nights!

Father of the Bride
Terry was a dad, brother, uncle, and friend who lived and breathed adventure. Terry was a proud Marine and pilot who went on to travel the world; teaching and flying on behalf of Sikorsky Aviation. He could be found high in the sky, boating down the Housatonic River, or on the back of his 2000 Harley Fat Boy. Terry was a wonderful father to Shannon (his Scooch). He taught her to swim, to sail, to shoot, and that she could do anything she set her mind to. Terry was known for being blatantly honest, bold in his love of friends and family, and brave in the face of adversity. While Terry passed before Max was able to meet him, Shannon believes they would have been fast friends; daring each other to jump off even higher cliffs on our camping trips in Maine, or racing down the Pacific Coast Highway. In memory of Terry, we hope you will borrow his bravery and do something that gets your engines running!

Mako is the best dog ever and is so excited that his pawrents are tying the knot! He hopes they have a long and happy marriage with lots of treatos, yes definitely lots of treatos, and toys, did he forget to mention toys? He's so so happy that he's willing to share both his treatos and toys with them furever!
