Explore Downtown Boise

Explore Downtown Boise

Downtown Boise is one of our favorite spots for grabbing drinks, a meal, shopping around, or just enjoying the city spirit! We have listed some of our favorite spots below: 1. Prost German Pub - home to the best authentic German grub, imported beer, and great atmosphere! (The Groom's Favorite) 2. Bardanay Restaurant & Distillery - this spot is always poppin', with great food, drink, and the best happy hour in town! 3. Western Proper - this fun new spot combines semi-formal cocktails & food with optional bowling, quite the spot for a hip happy hour! 4. Tupelo Honey - this southern charm restaurant is one of the best spots for brunch in town, with beautiful 2nd story balcony seating! 5. Fork - this is a lovely classic dinner spot, with great food, wine, and elegant dining vibes! 6. Lemon Tree Co. - if you're looking for the best unique sandwich and lemonade combo, this is the spot. They have incredible sandwiches, salads, soups, and more!

Hiking Trails

Hiking Trails

Our favorite hiking trails and their difficulty ranking are listed below and can be found at the link! 1. Station Creek (5.5mi) - this moderate to difficult trail has a lot of incline through the woods, but brings you to some incredible views of the surrounding mountains! 2. Lower Bear River Trail (7.5 mi) - this moderate hike follows along the edge of a glacial valley venturing through meadows, ponderosa forest, and has beautiful river views! 3. Beaver Creek (5.3 mi) - this easy hike winds through Boise National Forest along the creek and up a ridge for some forest views! 4. One Spoon Trail (7.1 mi) - this difficult hike is for those who are seeking some well earned views, with steep inclines, lots of wildflowers, and some of the best mountain views!

Hot Springs

Hot Springs

For those with more adventurous spirits, we have a couple fun hot springs worth visiting! Keep in mind, the best times for these are weekdays or early morning/late nights on the weekend. 1. Rocky Canyon Hot Springs - if you're looking for a beautiful set of tiered pools along the river, this is your spot! Keep in mind, it is down a USFS dirt road and requires a quick river crossing, so make sure you've got your water shoes and anything else you need! 2. Hot Springs Campground & Pool - this is a more quaint hot springs that is accessible through a campground off of Banks Lowman Road. It is a nice natural spot to recline and enjoy!

Visit McCall

Visit McCall

The town of McCall is one of our favorite places to go explore! It is a quaint mountain town that is THE place for summer activities. There is a beautiful lake with great boundary waters for sports, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and more! Below are some of our favorite activities: 1. Paddle Board / Kayak - The Meanders - on the west side of Payette Lake, there are some boundary waters winding through the forest where motorized boats aren't allowed. This makes for the perfect setting for swimming, paddle boarding, or kayaking! (The Bride's Favorite) 2. Ponderosa State Park - located right near downtown, this is a great spot to hike, swim, fish, or picnic with lake and mountain views! 3. Horseback Riding - for a fun way to explore the country, check out some scenic horseback rides through the mountain trails! 4. Shore Lodge - this historic lodge has beautiful panoramic views of the lake, incredible dining, and beautiful access to walking along the lake!
