The Birch Door Cafe
Our favorite breakfast and lunch spot! We love getting one of their specialties, the apple pancake, it's huge (more like a souffle) and much more than your average pancake!
Banter
Another favorite spot of ours! Banter specializes in specialty coffee and vibrant brunch, Shannon loves their unique take on classics like avocado toast, Larry swears by their breakfast sando!
Bellis Fair
The best shopping in Bellingham is in and around Bellis Fair Mall and the Guide Meridian Corridor where the majority of major national chain stores and department stores are. Shop at Macy's, JC Penny, Kohls, Target, Walmart, Costco and other major national stores.
Blaine
Right next to the Peace Arch Border crossing you will find the lovely city of Blaine, WA! Here you can explore the Blaine Marine Park, wander the historic streets, eat tacos at Bordertown Mexican Grill, and check out what the Sasquatch is wearing! Larry and Shannon have many fond memories of time spent in Blaine, from walking around the city on tip toes to see who could do it the longest (yes we know we're weird XD) to crabbing off the Blaine Pier and taking our engagement photos in the marine park and historic streets.
Cafe Velo
Larry frequents Cafe Velo for a quick and tasty sammich and drink, good for on the run bites!
District Brewing | Ferndale
A fun spot to try a flight of beer or cider and play some games! District Brewing has an arcade area, different themed rooms, and lots of board games!
DownTime Taps
DownTime Taps is a pour-it-yourself tap room in Ferndale that Larry and Shannon love going to. It's a low key spot where you can try different bevies in whatever quantity you like, they also have tasty bites and games to play!
Historic Fairhaven
Located within the southern city limits of Bellingham, the Fairhaven Historic District is noted for its colorful 19th century architecture and history. Fairhaven is a cute little area with various different shops and restaurants. We highly recommend a stop at The Colophon Cafe, The Black Cat, or strolling through the streets and popping into Village Books.
